1. Lujan Zoo, Argentina

Ride-a-lion_1374985i

Here at the Lujan Zoo near Buenos Aires visitors can ride lions, cuddle bears, stroke tigers and feed cheetahs.

2. Cango Wildlife Ranch, South Africa

003_aligator At the Cango Wildlife Ranch, an endangered species center in Outshoot, South Africa, visitors can pay around $40 to take a dip with the crocs, getting close enough to see the crocodile's toenails, and within inches of their deadly teeth.

3. Sriracha Zoo, ThailandSriracha Tiger Zoo2 People often ask us for family friendly tourist attractions in Thailand where they can take their kids to have some fun. Sriracha Tiger Zoo is a great place for kids on holiday in Thailand. It can be done as either a day trip from Bangkok or as an excursion from Pattaya which is slightly closer. We drove down there to visit the zoo and it took us only 80 minutes from the Bangkok area.

4. The Tiger Temple, Thailand

tiger_temple The Theravada Buddhist temple is located in the Saiyok district of Thailand's Kanchanaburi province, not far from the border with Myanmar, some 38 km north-west of Kanchanaburi along the 323 highway. It was founded in 1994 as a forest temple and sanctuary for numerous wild animals. In 1995 it received the Golden Jubilee Buddha Image, made of 80 kilograms of gold.

5. Maetaman Elephant Camp in Chiang Mai, Thailand

Elephant-Ripleys Nungning is the youngest among the elephant artists at Maetaman Elephant Camp. She began painting only three months ago and is already creating beautiful abstract works. She paints circular and arcing lines across the canvas or paper by wildly whipping her trunk around.
Kam Pu-daeng and Nungning have a very close relationship but Nungning's best friend at Maetaman has got to be the eight-year-old Boombim. The two elephants will play endlessly together in the river during bath time. The only thing that Nungning seems to not like are dogs and chickens. She will get agitated when one or the other is near. Otherwise, she is generally cheerful and good spirited even though she can still be a bit mischievious at times.

Mandarin Duck

853400195_af325f0541

You’ve probably seen Mandarin Ducks at more than just zoos, and are wondering why it made the list. It’s true that this beautiful bird is well represented in captivity, but their numbers in the wild are fast declining.

3104471107_b10fe544af

Native to Eastern Siberia, China and Japan, the Mandarin Duck is, without a doubt, the most beautiful of all ducks. The males have particularly bright-colored feathers, especially during the mating season.

There are fewer than 20,000 Mandarin Ducks in their Asian habitat, but a new population is forming, from released captivity-bred specimens.

"R" means right, and right she'll always be,

Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER,"  A word that means the world to me.

Mother's Day 2009 is on May 10, Sunday

Mother’s Day 2009Mothers Day is celebrated in several country across the globe though the month and date on which Mother's Day is celebrated in different countries varies. Most countries celebrate Mothers Day on second Sunday in the Month of May. This Mother's Day date was declared by US President Woodrow Wilson on May 8, 1914 when he signed a Joint Resolution designating the second Sunday in May as Mother's Day. This US tradition of celebrating Mothers Day and paying tribute to mothers spread across several countries over the years and these countries tooMothers Day adopted second Sunday of May as Mother's Day. However, in many countries the way Mothers Day is celebrated varies and is quite different from the manner in which Mothers Day is celebrated in US. But what is more important than the date and fashion of celebration is the feeling behind the festival. The idea of celebrating Mother's Day the world over is to pay tribute to mothers for all their love and support and to make them feel special.

Top Five Most Amazing Zoos and Animal Shelters in the World

There are fewer than 20,000 Mandarin Ducks in their Asian habitat, but a new population is forming, from released captivity-bred specimens.

lens1513272_mother-teresa "M" is for the million things she gave me,

"O" means only that she's growing old,

"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,

"H" is for her heart of purest gold;

"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
